THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 defeat to SUNY Maritime College on Tuesday night from Reinhart Field.
How it Happened
The Bears and Privateers shared scoring changes in the first half but it was a chip shot by forward Keira Ford in the 29th minute that opened the scoring in favor of the hosts.
St. Joseph's managed to keep Maritime off the board by could not finish on the attacking em ofrnfield, resulting in the 1-0 deficit.
For the Bears
- Audrey Scott (Rocklin, Calif./Whitney) and Sabrina Amadio (Douglaston, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) each had two shots in the contest.
- Julia Marin (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) matched her Maritime counterpart with three saves.
