Lady Bears Open Season with Loss to St. Joseph’s Long Island

WEST ISLIP, NY - The St. Joseph's women's tennis team lost to St. Joseph's Long Islandby a score of 9-0 on Friday night.  The Lady Bears open their season 0-1 while St. Joseph's - Long Island improves to 3-2.

Senior Elizabeth Shea (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Kearney) turned in the best performance for the Lady Bears, losing in both sets 6-1 to Katie Soeder in 3^rd singles.

The Lady Bears are back on the court on Monday, September 20^th at home against Staten Island.
