BROOKLYN, N.Y. – St. Joseph's (10-6) looks to extend a four-game winning streak against SUNY Canton (7-10) with a USCAA doubleheader with potential USCAA Small College World Series implications. The Bears host the Kangaroos at the SJC Outdoor Complex in Patchogue to open a four-game weekend set, before returning to Brooklyn as the visitors for a twinbill against CCNY (6-3-1) at MCU Park.

vs. SUNY Canton: Both teams remain deadlocked at 2-2 in the all-time series after splitting doubleheaders in 2012 and 2013.
vs. CCNY: St. Joseph's leads the all-time series 5-3 and has won the last four meetings. The Bears exploded for 23 runs in a 23-5 win in Patchogue last April.
The Bear Facts
Last Time Out: The Bears received three-hit days at the plate by Anthony DeFillippo, Chris Cutrone and Domenick Camerada and five pitchers combined to hold Baruch to just six hits in a 6-3 win at MCU Park on Thursday.
Freshman Anthony DeFillippo made the most of his first career start on Thursday batting 3-for-5 from the leadoff position with a run scored and a RBI. Junior Domenick Camerada's bat has started to heat up, batting 7-of-14 over his last six games with three RBI, capped by a 3-for-3 day on Thursday.
Freshman Nicholas LoPrinzi continues an outstanding rookie campaign with a team-leading .408 batting average and second-best 10 RBI. The outfielder/infielder has a team-high eight multi-hit games on the year and a.500 on-base percentage.
Senior Joe Mendez saw his seven game hitting streak snapped against Baruch but continues to sit among the team leaders in most hitting categories. After assuming the career home-run lead last week, Mendez also creeps upon the career leads in hits, games started, games played and total bases.
Rosario DiLorenzo (4-0, 3.57 ERA, 18 K) and Chris Cutrone (3-1, 4.74 ERA, 14 K) continue to anchor the starting rotation combining for seven wins this season. The bullpen had a strong showing in Thursday's win tossing six scoreless innings with freshman Connor Pasetti locking down the win with a three-inning save, only the fifth save in Bears history and second this season (Brian Luebcke).
Roo Watch
Last Time Out: Before heading south to New York, the Roos were were blanked out 1-0 and 6-0 in a sweep by Fisher College.
The Kangaroos make the long trip from Canton, N.Y. (near the Canadian border) for a weekend four-game set against USCAA rivals Briarcliffe yesterday and the Bears today. Canton enters the first USCAA poll of the season ranked No. 15 and looks to snap a seven-game skid.
The Roos are led offensively by sophomore Kevin Hill who bats .442 with nine runs and five RBI and has reached base in 13 straight games. Fellow sophomore Braden Giffin anchors the heart of the lineup batting .415 with a .623 slugging that places him in the top 10 of the USCAA. Zach Lawrence is the ace of the pitching staff with a 2-2 record, going the distance in a all four games pitched, maintaining a 1.55 ERA over 29.0 innings of work, striking out a team best 15. Alex LaFountain has made six appearances in relief with two saves, tied for third in the USCAA.
