LoPrinzi Named to USCAA Small College World Series All-Tournament Team

HAMPTON, Va. – Sophomore Nicholas LoPrinzi (Howard Beach, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) was named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Small College World Series All-Tournament team after helping lead the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) baseball team to a program-best fourth place finish.

LoPrinzi batted a team-high .538 (7-for-13) with a team-high five RBI along with one run scored. The third baseman recorded a hit and at least one RBI in four of the five games played. LoPrinzi had his best game of the tournament against Apprentice School on May 15th, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

St. Joseph's had a cinderella run at the Small College World Series entering as the No. 9 seed and defeating No. 8 Penn State Beaver in the opening round before holding a lead over top seed and runner up Illinois Tech, before falling in extras. The Bears then knocked off No. 4 Rochester College and No. 3 Tennessee Temple before dropping a one-run decision to the eventual national champions No. 5 Apprentice School to take home their best finish in three straight post-season trips.
