BROOKLYN, N.Y.For his outstanding performance on the baseball diamond this season, St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) outfielder Thomas McKenna (Bellerose, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) was named to the D3Baseball.com 2015 All-New York Region Third Team and the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-New York Region Third Team.

McKenna was instrumental in the team's 24-18 record and a fourth place finish in the USCAA Small College World Series, their best finish in program history. He hit successfully in all but three games this season and led the team and the Association of Division III Independents in batting average (.392), home runs (6), runs batted in (29), runs scored (40) and stolen bases (15).

He finishes his career as the Bears' all-time leader in batting average (.377), hits (210), runs scored (164), stolen bases (64), and triples (12) and ended the season setting a new school record with a 25-game hitting streak. McKenna also collected USCAA Second Team All-American, AD3I Player of the Year and AD3I All-Independent First Team honors to close out his senior campaign.

This is the second time he has earned D3Baseball.com honors, securing Second Team accolades last season. He secures his first ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honor, becoming just the fourth Bear to do so with Paul Piccirillo, Joseph Mendez and Mike Cundari.
