Rogowski Named HVMAC Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK, NY – The Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference recognized the terrific week by St. Joseph's forward Jan Rogowski (Woodside, NY/St. John's Prep), naming him the Rookie of the Week for the week of January 11th. This is the second time Rogowski has claimed the honor this season.

Rogowski averaged 25 points and 11.5 rebounds for the Bears in the two games, as St. Joseph's broke an eight game losing streak Friday night at CCNY. Rogowski had a career high 30 points in that game, the most by a Bear this season, and also grabbed 14 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Rogowski's strong play carried over into a loss against Rutgers-Camden where he finished with 20 points and nine rebounds and nearly brought the Bears back in a thrilling non-conference game.

Rogowski and the Bears continue a four game home stand on Sunday, January 23rd, where they will play the Culinary Institute of America, in what will be the first of five consecutive HVMAC games.
