Coleman, Rogowski Collect AD3I Year End Accolades

KANSAS CITY, MO – In an announcement that honored the closing career of one of St. Joseph's most talented basketball players and also showcased the future of the team, senior Donald Coleman (Brooklyn, NY/Nazareth) and sophomore Jan Rogowski (Woodside, NY/St. John's Prep) were handed awards for their 2010-2011 seasons from the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I). The Association announced that Coleman made the second team All-Independent and Rogowski was an honorable mention.

Coleman capped off a great senior season with the award. The unquestioned leader on the court, Coleman led the team with 14.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. He scored in double-figured in 19 of the 24 games he played in and had a career high 32 points at Albany Pharmacy. Coleman also became the first Bear to record 20 points and 20 rebounds in a game since 2003 with his 22 point, 21 rebound effort at St. Joseph's College – Long Island.

He was a two time AD3I player of the week (12/12, 2/8) and was also named to the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) All-Conference team.

Across the AD3I, Coleman finished 8th in scoring and 3rd in rebounding.

Rogowski showed off what could be a great future for St. Joseph's College basketball, being named All-Independent honorable mention. He finished second on the team with 10.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game and led the team shooting 35.7% from three. He scored in double-digits 13 times and recorded his first double-double on January 14th at CCNY with career-highs in points (30) and rebounds (14). Rogowski was named HVMAC Rookie of the Week three times (1/4, 1/11, 2/8) and was selected to the HVMAC All-Conference team.

Rogowski was 20th in the AD3I in scoring, 8th in rebounding and tied for 6th in three-pointers made.
