The Bear Facts

After snapping a four game losing streak, the Bears look to continue back towards the .500 mark with a key conference matchup that has HVMAC tournament implications.  A win tonight clinches a spot in the tournament as a likely 3rd seed, setting up a semifinal matchup against Vaughn.  A loss tonight leaves a slim shot at elimination or a likely 4th seed and a semifinal tilt against Berkeley.  The HVMAC tournament will be held two weekends from today (Feb. 18-19) at Albany Pharmacy.

With the entire squad seeing significant minutes against Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday, senior Justing Gist regained the scoring lead by a slight margin and enters at 13.6 a clip.  Freshman David Louison, named HVMAC Rookie of the Week earlier this week, is right behind him at 13.5 a game and with 10.5 boards, is still the highest ranked freshman nationally in Division III in 12th overall.  Junior Jan Rogowski rounds out the Bears averaging double figures with 10.5 a game.

On the Prowl
