David Louison Repeats as AD3I Player of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – David Louison (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) has been recognized as men's basketball Player of the Week by the Association of Division III Independents for the second consecutive week after leading St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) to a 2-1 mark during the week.

The sophomore recorded a trio of double-doubles last week to bring his total on the season to six averaging 12.3 points and 13.7 rebounds over the three-game stretch. Louison's performance was highlighted by a 13-point, 16-rebound effort in the Bears' victory over Mount Saint Vincent, their first since 2003. The forward also had two blocks, including one in the waning seconds that sealed the win for the Bears and two assists. During the week, Louison shot 42.9 percent from the field going 15-of-35.

Louison was also named to the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) honor roll.

St. Joseph's (6-3) returns to the hardwood on Friday, December 7th for the much anticipated matchup against sibling rivals St. Joseph's College (Long Island) tipping off at 8 p.m.
