Louison Tabbed AD3I Student-Athlete of the Month

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Sophomore forward David Louison (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) was named the Association of Division III Independents Student-Athlete of the Month for November after helping lead the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's basketball team to a 5-2 record matching their best start in school history.

The sophomore averaged 12 points and 14 rebounds per game, while shooting an efficient 48 percent from the field (37-for-77). Louison recorded five double-doubles and pulled down a season-high 17 rebounds twice. The sophomore had a season-high 17 points in the Bears home-opening win against Vassar. Last year's AD3I Rookie of the Year has already been named Player of the Week twice and is currently ranked first in Division III in double-doubles (7) and third in rebounding (13.2).

The monthly award is the first earned by the sophomore in his young career and first by a Bear in any sport.  In addiition to receiving AD3I Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-Independent honors last season, Louison was also named D3Hoops.com Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year. 

The Bears return to the hardwood Monday, January 7th when they open the New Year travelling to Madison, NJ to take on Drew University at 7:00 p.m.
