Bears Back in Action Tonight at Drew University

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's basketball team opens the second half of their schedule with a non-conference road tilt against Drew University tonight in Madison, N.J. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Bears (8-3) return to the hardwood after nearly a four-week break, closing the first half of the schedule with a three game winning streak and the best start since the 2006-07 season.

Double-double machines sophomore David Louison (13.4 ppg, 12.1 rpg) and freshman Michael Megafu (12.8 ppg, 12.5 rpg) lead the Bears and are tied for third in Division III with seven double-doubles each. Both are also ranked in the top 10 in rebounding, Megafu at No. 5 and Louison at No. 7.  Megafu has averaged 26.0 points and 19.0 rebounds the last two outings, victories over St. Joseph's (L.I.) and Lehman.

Drew (5-7) has alternated wins and losses in their last six games and looks to rebound from a loss to Susquehanna University in their Landmark Conference opener on Saturday. The Rangers feature three guards who tally double figures -- junior Luke Glass (15.3 ppg), freshman Mike Klinger (14.8 ppg) and junior John Ford (11.2 ppg). The trio relies on the deep threat, each ranking in the top 100 in Division III in three-pointers made per game and as a team rank No. 28.
