Bears Ranked Top 10 Among Division III Statistical Leaders

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In the latest NCAA Division III national statistical rankings released today reflecting games played through January 17, sophomore David Louison (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) and freshman Michael Megafu (Brooklyn, NY/Nazareth Regional) were ranked tied for No. 3 in double-doubles and ranked No. 4 and No. 5, respectively, in rebounding.

As a team, the Bears also ranked in the Top 10 nationally in field-goal percentage defense, holding the opposition to 37.4 percent shooting, ranked No. 8.

Louison and Megafu recorded their 10th double-doubles of the season this week to sit two behind the national leaders with 12. The Bears held one of the national leaders, Winston Douglas of Medgar Evers, shy of a double-double on Monday.

Louison clears 12.1 boards and Megafu grabs 11.9 caroms holding solo 4th and 5th.

Megafu's team-leading 61.0 percent shooting from the field also places him 23th in the nation.
