Bears Alumni Chris Distefano '06 and Lukasz Cygan '07 Featured in Latest SJCNY Magazine; Distefano to Perform at Common Hour

The Fall 2013 issue of the SJCNY Magazine that was released in print last week features two separate In Focus pieces on Bears basketball alumni Chris Distefano '06 and Dr. Lukasz Cygan '07.

The article on Distefano, a cast member on MTV2's hit shows Guy Code and Girl Code and co-host of The Bracket on MSG, starts on page 26. (Read "Born to Stand Out" online.)

Current SJC students, faculty and staff can watch one of the most prolific scorers in SJC history perform his standup live during a common hour performance on Tuesday, September 17th in the Tuohy auditorium. 

The article on Dr. Cygan, a volunteer assistant coach of the men's basketball team and second year resident at the Staten Island University Hospital, can be found on pages 24-25. (Read "A Team Player" online.)

Also sighted in the issue were Danielle Marino '13 and Javier Bosque '14 (page 8) who were presented with the 2013 Outstanding Student-Athlete Award at the 23rd Annual SJC Golf Classic this past June and Steven Somers '82 (page 39) the honorary guest speaker at the Brooklyn Athletic Awards Night.
