Louison Nabs AD3I and HVIAC Player of the Week Honors

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—After averaging 24.5 points per game, shooting 66.7 percent from the field and pouring in a career-high 35 points, David Louison (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) has been named the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) and Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Player of the Week.

The senior also averaged 11.0 boards and 2.0 rejections per game in leading St. Joseph's to a perfect 2-0 week. He secured his 15th double-double of the season in Wednesday's 88-71 victory over Medgar Evers, scoring 14 points and corralling a game-high 17 rebounds, including 12 in the first half. On Saturday, Louison carried the Bears to a thrilling 82-78 comeback win over Valley Forge, dropping a career-high 35 points on a remarkable 15-of-20 from the floor. The forward played all 40 minutes, adding five boards, two thefts and a pair of rejections.

This is the fifteenth time in his illustrious career that Louison has received the AD3I Player of the Week. A repeat winner of the award, he is also now a 10-time recipient of the HVIAC weekly honor.

Winners of five of their last six, the 14-7 Bears are paced by Louison's team-leading 16.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.
