Inclement Weather Forces Cancellation of USCAA Nationals Consolation Games

UNIONTOWN, Pa.—Due to the inclement weather that hit the Uniontown area Wednesday night into Thursday, the 2015 United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Basketball Championship consolation games scheduled for Thursday morning have been cancelled.

The Bears conclude their third straight winning campaign at 18-10, finishing with 18 wins for the second straight season.

The HVIAC champion Lady Bears end their season at 17-12, also producing their third straight winning season and matching the 17-win total from two seasons ago.

Senior David Louison wraps up his outstanding career with 1,698 points and 1,195 rebounds while Vernon Maddox ends with 761 points and 286 assists.

Senior Samantha Retas—who officially joined the SJC 1,000-point scoring club yesterday with 1,005 points in a Lady Bear uniform—finishes with 1,080 points, 1,040 rebounds and 193 blocks and the Lady Bear career leader in rebounds and blocks in just three seasons. Taylor Raccuglia concludes her three-year career as a Lady Bear with 857 points, 588 rebounds, 242 assists and 164 blocks.

The athletic department and men's and women's basketball staffs thanks the seniors for their outstanding dedication to the Bears and Lady Bears basketball programs.
