Mikos Selected to D3hoops.com Team of the Week
BROOKLYN, N.Y. — For the second straight Tuesday, St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) has been represented on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, as Chris Mikos (Freehold, N.J./St. John Vianney) was recognized for his monster week ending February 13, 2022.
He adds to his first Skyline Player of the Week nod received yesterday and follows fellow senior Kelly O'Donnell (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) who garnered both women's honors the week previous.
Over a three-game stretch last week, Mikos recorded double-doubles in each game and averaged 34.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 5.7 rebounds, while shooting 64 percent from the field.
He opened his week with a 49-point, 11-rebound, seven-assist effort against Hunter where he shot a blistering 21-of-27 (78%). His 49-point outburst is tied for fifth-most in a single game in D3 MBB this season and is the most scored by a Bear in a single game during the Coach Cocozello era.
Mikos followed it up with a team-high 27 points, and grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds, with five assists, and three steals in helping to lead a second-half road comeback bid from 28 down to Mount Saint Vincent that would fall short.
He concluded the week with game-highs of 27 points and 10 rebounds, adding five assists in a narrow home loss to Old Westbury. With his third double-double of the week, he notched his Skyline-leading 14th of the season and is currently tied for 16th in Division III.
Mikos is just the second male to ever receive the D3hoops.com accolade, joining David Louison '15 who took home the honor in 2014.
Mikos and the Bears celebrate Senior Night tonight, welcoming Farmingdale State College in the second game of a Skyline doubleheader tipping off at 7 p.m.
