BROOKLYN, N.Y. — In their first game at The Hill Center of the new year, the St. Joseph's University, NY (Brooklyn) dropped a 93-52 decision to Skyline Conference foe Farmingdale State College on Wednesday night.

How it Happened

The lead alternated seven times with neither side holding on to a single-possession advantage. A triple from Jonathan Reno (Staten Island, N.Y./Moore Catholic) gave the Bears (3-10, 0-4) an 11-10 lead. However, following a 30-second timeout, the Rams (9-4, 4-0) reclaimed the lead for good. Farmingdale State led 44-20 at the half thanks to a 17-0 scoring run with 7:15 remaining in the period.

Anderson Beltre (East Elmhurst, N.Y./Holy Cross) snapped the visitors' outburst early in the second half. The Rams' 50-percent shooting in the stanza propelled them to a 93-52 triumph. Beltre and Reno led the Bears with eight points each in the period.
