Urshela Earns HVMAC Rookie of the Week Honors

BROOKLYN, NY – Recognizing his four goal effort leading the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's soccer team to their first intercollegiate win, freshman forward Raul Urshela (Orlando, FL/Colonial) has been selected as the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week.

During the 10-2 conference win over Webb on Saturday, Urshela recorded his first collegiate hat trick in the first half highlighted by an acrobatic bicycle kick goal for his second score of the game. Urshela tacked on another score in the second half for his team-leading sixth goal of the season.

It is Urshela's first time receiving the honor and the first by a St. Joseph's College soccer player from the conference.

St Joseph's (1-3, 1-2 HVMAC) looks to build their first winning streak tonight on the road against Purchase College starting at 8 pm.
