Miner Named to HVMAC All-Conference Team

BROOKLYN, NY – After finishing second in NCAA Division III in saves per game with 13.18, St. Joseph's freshman goalkeeper Michael Miner (Schenevus, NY/Schenevus) has been named to the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference All Conference team. With 2011 being the St. Joseph's inaugural season, Miner becomes the first Bear to be named to the HVMAC All Conference soccer team in school history.

Miner played every minute in net for the Bears, accumulating 175 saves and a save percentage of 65.3%. In the team's first ever victory, he recorded eight saves in the 10-2 win over Webb. He faced a barrage of shots all season long, 397 in all and 240 on net. Miner recorded double-digit saves in nine of the 13 contests this season including a season-high 20 in a loss to Yeshiva.
