Barrios, Goduadze, and Homier Named to HVIAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Team

BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- In recognition of their outstanding achievements on the field, the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference named Bencion Barrios (Brooklyn, N.Y./SUNY Ulster), Beka Goduadze (Tbilisi, Georgia/Lyceum "NK"), and Thomas Homier (Middleton, Del./Middletown) to the All-HVIAC Men's Soccer team.

All three players are first-time recipients of the honor, all winning it in their first season in a Bears uniform.

Barrios, a junior, tallied five goals this season and finished second in the conference with seven assists and received HVIAC Player of the Week honors on October 9th.

Goduadze's 11 goals led the team and was third most in the HVIAC. The freshman forward also notched his first career hat-trick and contributed two game-winners.

Homier was the third-most proficient scorer on St. Joseph's, netting seven goals in his junior campaign.

The contributions from Barrios, Goduadze, and Homier led the St. Joseph's men's soccer team to their first playoff berth in school history. After last year's three-win season, 2014 marked a highly successful turnaround for the No. 3 Bears (7-7-1, 3-2-1 HVIAC), who finished with their best record in school history.
