Men's and Women's Soccer Tryout/Practices Dates Announced

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – All prospective men and women interested in competing on the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) soccer teams for their inaugural season in the Skyline Conference are invited to attend open practice/tryouts.

Coming off their first .500 season in program history and finishing as an HVIAC semifinalist, the Bears soccer team opens practice on Wednesday, August 26 at 4:30 p.m. at Kingsboro Community College.

Fresh off a program-best 11-5 record and finishing as the Division III leader in scoring offense, the Lady Bears soccer team opens practice on Saturday, August 29 also at 4:30 p.m. at Kingsboro Community College.

The remaining schedule of practices will be announced at the first practice. All new student-athletes wishing to tryout for the team are should e-mail m-soccer@sjcbears.com (men) or w-soccer@sjcbears.com (women) in advance of the tryout.

In order to participate in tryouts, both prospective and returning student-athletes must have a completed SJC athletics medical, a concussion test administered by an SJC Athletic Trainer AND cleared by the Sports Medicine Office. The Bears open their 2015 slate on Wednesday, September 9 against former HVIAC rival Berkeley College while the Lady Bears will open their season on Saturday, September 12 with a league contest hosting Sage Colleges.
