Men’s Tennis Concludes Skyline Play in Home Finale vs. Purchase

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Purchase College in Skyline Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center.

Valentina Velez Valencia (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) collected two pairs of games in a strong match at No. 5 singles. Daniel Vaitzman (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber) led the lineup taking three games in a 6-1, 6-2 defeat at No. 1 singles.

Darrius Thompson (Brooklyn, N.Y./High School for Public Service) and Sean Devine Dunn (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) secured two games each at No. 2 and No. 4 singles.

St. Joseph's ends the Skyline regular season at 1-11 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
