Torres Named HVMAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK, NY – In the first volleyball report of the season released by the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference earlier today, freshman Martin Torres (Ozone Park, NY/St. Francis Prep) was named Rookie of Week for games ending February 21.

In the only game of the week for St. Joseph's, Torres led the Bears to their first win of the season, a straight-set victory over Albertus Magnus.  The rookie middle-hitter put down a team-high tying eight kills and had four digs.  Torres currently leads the team in kills (15) and hitting percentage (.278).
