Driscoll Selected as Skyline Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK — Helping the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's volleyball team extend their win streak to two in a split over the weekend, sophomore Tim Driscoll (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Peter's) was picked as the Skyline Conference Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for March 26-April 1 announced by the conference office earlier today.

The sophomore outside hitter reached double-digit kills for the first time in a three-set match pounding 11 kills at a .267 clip to lead the Bears to a sweep of Sarah Lawrence College on the road. He also landed three aces to record a match-best 14 points in Saturday's straight-set win.

Driscoll landed on the league's weekly honor roll two weeks ago logging a 15-kill, 11-dig double-double against Yeshiva. The Rookie of the Week honor is the second weekly accolade received in program history by a Bear following Thomas Kennedy who was selected as Player of the Week in 2016.

The Bears head into the final week of the regular season, traveling to Purchase State on Tuesday, April 3 for a league match starting at 7 p.m.
