BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's volleyball team wrapped up their home slate for the month of February with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-13) non-conference loss to Wilkes University on Tuesday evening.

Seniors Dejon St. Rose-Cuffy (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) and Stephen Eddy (Glendale, N.Y./Christ the King) combined for 11 kills to lead the Bears in defeat.

How it Happened

Wilkes (8-6) used an early 6-0 run to take an early lead at 8-2 but St. Joseph's (2-5) drew even at 14-all before the Colonels closed out the set 25-18.

The Bears held brief leads early in the second and third stanzas but were held to just 13 points in each frame as the visitors hit over .400 in the final two sets to complete the win.

  • St. Rose-Cuffy hit .312 for the match with six kills and a solo block.
  • Eddy had five kills and six digs.
  • Ramizjon Khudoyorov (Brooklyn, N.Y./Edward R. Murrow) chipped in three kills, two aces, and eight digs.
  • Rogers Hatanga Kwiringira (Corona, N.Y./Greater New York Academy) also had eight digs to share team-high honors.
