Scheer started in the circle and picked up her fifth win of the season striking out five, scattering three hits, allowing one earned run, issuing no walks.

The freshmen were all solid offensively over the two-game set accounting for 16 of the 19 Lady Bear hits.  Scheer batted .667 (4-for-6) with a home run, triple, double, five runs and three RBIs.  Chiaramonte batted .667 (4-for-6) with a home run, five RBIs and two runs.  Kakavas batted .500 (3-for-6) with a home run, double, driving in four and scoring four.  Palmieri had four RBIs and two hits.  Jillian Troise (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Kearney) had two hits driving in two runs.  Melissa Spooner (Brooklyn, NY/Clara Barton) recorded her first collegiate hit.
