Lady Bears Jump to #6 in USCAA Polls

BROOKLYN, NY – In an announcement made today by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), the St. Joseph's softball team is ranked sixth in the weekly coaches poll. The Lady Bears climbed ten spots after being ranked #16 last week, following their 3-3 record in Fort Myers, Florida to open the season. They sit just one point behind Penn State Beaver in the poll.

Rochester College (MI) took over the number one position, 31 points ahead of St. Joseph's.

St. Joseph's is 5-3 on the season after their doubleheader sweep over City Tech on Monday.  

The Lady Bears will look to continue their winning ways this week with doubleheaders against Mount Saint Vincent, York and USCAA rival, #19 Briarcliffe. The Lady Bears defeated Briarcliffe to close last season finishing in third place at the USCAA National Tournament.

All games will be played at Padavan-Preller Fields in Bellerose, NY.
