Final NCAA Division III Softball Statistics Released
BROOKLYN, NY – After climbing the NCAA Division III statistical leaderboard throughout the season, senior pitcher/outfielder Alyson Chiaramonte (Staten Island, NY/Moore Catholic) capped her four-year career ranked in the top 10 in three categories and in the top 20 in three additional categories as the as the final Division III softball statistics were released last week.
As a team, the Lady Bears finished in the top 20 in three statistical categories and in the top 50 in six categories overall, representing the top 12.5 percent of the 402 teams ranked. St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) concluded their first year as a full NCAA Division III member with a 27-12 mark. The Lady Bears placed 14th overall in scoring, their highest team ranking, averaging 6.9 runs per game.
Chiaramonte, solidified her spot in the top 10 in shutouts, hits per game and earned run average. Her highest ranking came fourth in shutouts, finishing with 12 in total.
