Update (4/2/2016 7 pm): Due to unplayable field conditions at Padavan-Preller Field due to the weekend rain, the Skyline Conference softball doubleheaders vs. Mount Saint Mary and Purchase College have been postponed.

The Lady Bear Facts
- St. Joseph's enters the weekend riding a three-game win streak after a dominant sweep of New Rochelle on Thursday evening. In the game one victory, Destiny Marino became the second Lady Bear to ever hit for the cycle finishing 4-for-4 with 3 RBI. In the nightcap, Jamilynn McGowan fired a one-hit shutout and struck out a career-high 11 notching her first win of the season in the circle. Erica Eddy homered in both ends of the twinbill, her first two collegiate home runs, and drove in a team-high 6 RBI on the evening.
- Junior Samantha Rossi is working on a team-best six-game hitting streak, batting 10-for-21 over the stretch, and lifting her average to a team-leading .379. She also leads the team with 5 extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs and was named to the Skyline Honor Roll last week.
- Senior Erica Eddy batted 5-for-9 with 6 RBI on Thursday and shares the team lead with 8 RBI with Kristin Ferrigno who ranks third with a .345 average and 4 extra-base hits.

- Tabbed to finish second in the preseason coaches polls after finishing as runner-up last season, Mount Saint Mary enters with an unblemished 4-0 conference record having swept Old Westbury and SJC Long Island two weekends ago.
- Senior Chelsea Dexter, a first-team All-Skyline honoree in 2015, leads the offense with a .424 average and a team-leading 10 RBI. Junior Shannon Sommer, a second-team All-Skyline selection, sets the table with a .395 average and leads in hits (17) and runs (8).
- Sophomore Cindy Connoly, the 2015 Skyline Pitcher of the Year, enters with a 4-1 record and a 1.30 ERA and 35 strikeouts against only 1 walk.
Panther Prowlings
- Entering the weekend Purchase boasted an 8-2 record and 2-2 mark in league play with a pair of shutout victories over Yeshiva. The Panthers were predicted to finish one spot ahead of the Lady Bears in sixth in the preseason coaches polls.
- Freshman Lisa Kentris paces the Panther bats with a .636 average with 7 RBI, 10 runs scored and a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. Junior Briana Leon boasts a .593 average with team-best 16 hits.
- Freshman Kelly Hayes and 2015 second-team All-Skyline honoree sophomore Shannon Clancy are the top run producers with 10 RBI.
- Junior Nicole Fortuna leads in the circle with a 5-0 record and 2.43 ERA with 30 strikeouts.
