The Bear Facts

- Junior Samantha Rossi is working on a team-best seven-game hitting streak, batting 12-for-24 (.500) over the stretch, and lifting her average to a team-leading .394. She also leads the team with 10 RBI and 5 extra-base hits, including a pair of home runs and was named to the Skyline Honor Roll two weeks ago.
- Senior Erica Eddy and junior Kristin Ferrigno follow Rossi as the top run producers with nine-RBI each.
- Samantha Simon matched an SJC record with 4 walks on Wednesday and ranks second on the team with a .344 average also swiping a team-leading 5 bases.

Dolphin Tales
- Mount Saint Vincent was tabbed to finish third by the coaches in the preseason poll and enters this weekend's league play sitting in 4th. The Dolphins were scheduled to face league unbeaten Mount Saint Mary yesterday on the road and suffered a sweep to Manhattanville in their only action last week.
- Sophomore Rachel Heizer enters as the reigning Player of the Week and boasts a .467 average. A 1st Team All-Skyline selection and the Skyline Rookie of the Year last season, she enters the week ranked third in the league in RBI (18) and home runs (3).
- Sister Mackenzie Heizer was also a 1st-Team All-Skyline honoree last year as a pitcher. The junior has seven starts striking out 38 over 35.1 innings. She matches her sister with a 2-4 mark in the circle.
