Rossi Lands on Skyline Softball Weekly Honor Roll

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Pacing the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) softball team knocking nine hits, with seven RBI and seven runs scored over a five-game stretch, junior Samantha Rossi (Bayside, N.Y./Mary Louis) was named to the Skyline weekly honor roll for games played from April 4-10.

The only Lady Bear to successfully hit in all five games on the week, the junior outfielder extended her active hitting streak to 11 games, going 9-for-16 at the plate (.563). Rossi highlighted her week with a 3-for-5 effort with three RBI, three runs and two doubles in a wild game two against Old Westbury as the Lady Bears nearly erased a 14-run deficit.

Rossi earns honor roll recognition for the second time this season, the only Lady Bear to land on the honor roll so far this season.

The Lady Bears will return to action on Thursday, April 14 hosting first-place Mount Saint Mary College in a doubleheader that was rained out two weekends ago. Game one will begin at 3:30 p.m. with live stats available on SJCBears.com.
