GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) softball team saw run-rule results go in Manhattanville College's favor on Saturday afternoon, 10-0 and 8-0.

How it Happened (Game 1)

The Valiants plated a pair of runs in the first. Following a dormant second inning, the visitors hit the Bears for six runs in the third, with a pair of Valiants registering two-RBI hits, to extend the advantage to 8-0.

RBI doubles in the fourth and fifth innings confirmed Manhattanville's 10-0 result.

Leila Heller's (Belle Chasse, La./Belle Chasse) lead-off single in the second went down as the lone hit for St. Joseph's in the contest.

How it Happened (Game 2)

A first-inning home run and a triple in the third inning headlined a 5-0 scoreline after three complete.

Autumn Poppett (San Diego, Calif/Mission Hills) allowed just one baserunner over the next two innings. Despite a momentum-driven bottom of the third, the Bears stranded a pair of runners and were unable to get on the board.

A leadoff double in the sixth was followed by a two-run homer to left field, increasing Manhattanville's lead to 7-0. They scored later in the inning to see out the 8-0 scoreline.
