St. Joseph's closed their 2012-13 campaign and celebrate Senior Night with a 91-68 triumph over Yeshiva on February 20, 2013 at Brooklyn Technical High School. St. Joseph's was led by Teresa Mangan who had a career-high 30 points and Janine Doran who added a double-double.

Last Time Out: All nine Lady Bears recorded a field goal and the defense held Vaughn College to 18.3 percent shooting from the floor, as St. Joseph's came away with a 67-29 victory over the Warriors in a HVIAC matchup on Monday night at the Elmcor Recreation Center. The Lady Bears were led by Jennifer Miller who notched her first career double-double by way of 10 points and 11 rebounds.

St. Joseph's begins a key three-game HVIAC homestand against Yeshiva, looking to nail down the No. 2 seed in the season-ending HVIAC Tournament. The Lady Bears defense has continued to play well this season, holding opponents to 29.3 percent shooting from the field which ranks them in the top five in Division III nationally.

Kelly McNamee continues to have a strong senior season, averaging a team-high 11.7 points per game. The guard has been difficult to contain from beyond the arc, connecting on 38.5 percent (25-of-65) of her attempts (No. 1 in HVIAC). McNamee is also deadly from the charity stripe, hitting 90.6 percent (29-of-32) of her shots from the line.

Teaming up with McNamee to provide senior firepower to the Lady Bears arsenal is Megan Moran who is averaging a career-high 10.7 points per game. The forward has scored in double figures in five of her last six games, averaging 14.8 points per game over the stretch along with 2.7 assists per game.

Junior Taylor Raccuglia continues to stuff the stat-sheet on a nightly basis for St. Joseph's, averaging 11.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.2 steals per game. Over her last four games the forward is shooting 47.7 percent (21-of-44) from the floor to up her field goal percentage to 42.5 percent on the year. Adding support to the frontcourt is junior Samantha Retas who averages a near double-double with 9.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. The forward also averages 2.8 assists per game and leads the team with 2.5 rejections per game

The Mac Attack

Last Time Out: Yeshiva dropped 62-42 decision to HVIAC foe Albany Pharmacy on Sunday in their first league game of the season. The Maccabees were led by Rebecca Yoshor who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Yeshiva gets into the heat of HVIAC play as four of their next five games are against conference opponents. The Maccabees play at a more up-tempo pace then the Lady Bears, averaging 70.0 points per game but struggle on the defensive end, surrendering a league-high 74.2 points per game. Yeshiva owns the largest rebounding margin in the conference at +4.3, helped by the leading rebounder in the nation in Yoshor.

The Maccabees have four players who average in double figures, led by one-time HVIAC Player of the Week Stephanie Greenberg who puts up 17.8 points per game and averages 5.3 rebounds per game. Providing stability in the frontcourt is two-time All-Conference Team selection Rebecca Yoshor who averages a double-double on the year with 16.3 points per game and ranks No. 1 in the country with 16.8 rebounds per game.

Rounding out the quartet of Maccabees who average double figures are Julia Owen and Haley David who average 16.0 and 12.9 points per game, respectively.
