Kiley Lands on D3hoops.com Team of the Week

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Adding to back-to-back Skyline Conference women's basketball Rookie of the Week awards, St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) freshman Emma Kiley (Whitestone, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) has earned a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for games played November 18-24.

She is the second Bear in program history to receive the honor and the first to land on the national weekly team since December 2014, when assistant coach Samantha Retas '15 earned the distinction.

Kiley averaged 24.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks last week leading St. Joseph's to a 2-0 week with victories over Brooklyn College and Farmingdale State.

In a 79-72 win over Brooklyn College on Wednesday, the rookie center poured in a season- and game-high 29 points on 12-of-14 shooting (85.7%), falling one rebound shy of a double-double.

In the Bears 78-62 road triumph over Farmingdale State in their Skyline opener, Kiley flirted with a triple-double posting 20 points with 14 rebounds and tying the program's single-game record for blocks, turning away eight shots to also tie Retas.

She currently leads the Skyline in blocks with 18 and is in the top five in six other statistical categories; including field goal percentage (56.1), points per game (17.4) and total rebounds (49).

Kiley and the Bears (2-3, 1-0 Skyline) return to floor tonight hosting the College of Mount Saint Vincent in a Skyline matchup at The Hill Center tipping off at 5 p.m. Live stats and video for the game can be found on SJCBears.com/live.
