O’Donnell Collects Fourth All-Skyline Honor; Provino Selected to All-Sportsmanship Team

NEW YORK — Finishing second in the Skyline Conference in scoring, senior Kelly O'Donnell (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) was named to the 2021-22 Women's Basketball All-Conference second team while classmate Jamie Provino (Harrison, N.Y./Harrison) landed on the All-Sportsmanship team as announced by the league office this morning.

Adding to her already decorated career, O'Donnell becomes the first SJC student-athlete in any sport to garner All-Skyline honors in each of her four years earning two first team and two second team nods. She finishes her career as the Bears record holder in scoring (2,009) and rebounding (978). O'Donnell became the 53rd women's basketball player in Division III history to score 2,000 points and is the first from the Skyline Conference to accomplish the feat.

A one-time Skyline Player of the Week honoree this season, O'Donnell shot a league-leading 83.6 percent from the free-throw line and poured in 20.6 points a night that was second. Her 10 double-doubles placed her fourth and her 9.6 boards ranked sixth in the Skyline. She assembled four games with 30-plus points and 13 games with 20-plus points.

Provino played in all 24 games and averaged over two three-pointers a game as the Bears leading outside threat. Averaging 8.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists an outing, Provino drained a three-pointer in all but two games this season.

The All-Conference teams and Player, Rookie, and Coach of the Year awards are voted on by the Skyline Conference's 11 head women's basketball coaches based on regular-season play.
