O’Donnell Receives Third All-Met Accolade; Named to Third Team

NEW YORK — Adding to her decorated career, senior Kelly O'Donnell (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) was selected to the All-Met Division III women's basketball third team as announced today by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association today.

The 5-foot-10 foot guard will graduate as the Bears' all-time scoring leader at 2,009 points and all-time rebound leader at 978 rebounds. O'Donnell is the 35th women's player in Metropolitan Basketball history in any division to score 2,000 points and is the 53rd in Division III women's basketball to reach the milestone.

A one-time Skyline Player of the Week honoree this season, O'Donnell shot a league-leading 83.6 percent from the free-throw line and poured in a Skyline second-best 20.6 points a night that also ranked 13th in the nation. Her 10 double-doubles placed her fourth and her 9.6 boards ranked sixth in the Skyline. She assembled four games with 30-plus points and 13 games with 20-plus points.

O'Donnell is the first-and-only All-Met honoree in program history, named to the second team as a sophomore, and the first team as a junior. There are 36 colleges and universities under the Met Basketball Division III umbrella.

The Skyline Player of the Year in 2019-20, she is the first Bears student-athlete in any sport to receive All-Skyline honors in all four years, receiving two first-team and two second-team selections.
