Kiley Picks Up Second Team All-Skyline Women’s Basketball Honors

NEW YORK — The Skyline Conference announced their All-Conference Teams for the 2022-23 women's basketball season on Tuesday with St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) placing Emma Kiley (Whitestone, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) on the Second Team.

Kiley's 64 blocks and 2.7 blocks per game propelled the Bears to a conference-leading 109 blocks and 4.54 rejections per outing, the only team in the Skyline to accumulate north of 100 total blocks. She also finished second in the league in free-throw percentage (.730) and rebounds per game (11.4), third in total rebounds (273), fourth in field-goal percentage (.475), and fifth in the league in points per game (15.2).

Kiley holds the league lead for most points and rebounds in a single-game this season; pouring in 34 points and collecting 18 rebounds against Pratt Institute in late January. Highlighted by eight blocks against Farmingdale State College at the turn of the new year, Kiley also recorded the most single-game blocks in the conference.

The senior's scoring and rebounding totals against the Cannoneers were career-highs. She concludes her collegiate career with 1,013 points, 722 rebounds, and 204 blocks; the most by a female or male basketball player in known-school history.

The Bears wrapped up the 2022-23 campaign with an 11-14 overall record and an 8-11 mark in league play.

The All-Conference teams and Player, Rookie, and Coach of the Year awards are voted on by the Skyline Conference's 11 head women's basketball coaches based on regular-season play.
