Chernyakhovsky Garners AD3I and HVWAC Weekly Honors

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Recognizing her outstanding effort on the soccer field in leading the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's soccer team to a 12-0 victory over Medgar Evers on Thursday night, Pamela Chernyakhovsky (Brooklyn, NY/Leon M. Goldstein) has been named the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Women's Soccer Player of the Week and Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Soccer Rookie of the Week.

Chernyakhovsky accumulated ten points in the conference victory, scoring four goals and assisting on two other goals. She also produced the game-winning goal in both of the Lady Bears' victories this season.  

In their inaugural season, the Lady Bears have captured four HVWAC Rookie of the Week honors with Chernyakhovsky now a two-time recipient and goalkeeper Nicole Farinella (East Patchogue, NY/Bellport HS) also a two-time recipient.  The AD3I honor is the first to be awarded to a Lady Bear in program history.

The Lady Bears (2-2-1, 1-1 HVWAC) return to the field on Thursday, October 4th hosting USCAA rivals Briarcliffe College at Aviator Sports Complex starting at 8 p.m.
