NEW YORK — The 10 Skyline Conference women's soccer coaches have cast their votes on the 2018 edition of their preseason poll, and the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's soccer team has been predicted to repeat their sixth-place finish of a year ago that earned the program's first trip to the postseason.

In 2017, the Bears finished at 8-8 overall, realizing a seven-win and +84 goal differential improvement over their one-win 2016 campaign. Behind Skyline Rookie of the Year Deserae Sequeira's league-leading 23 goals, the Bears finished No. 12 in scoring offense in Division III with Sequeira ranked third nationally in goals per game.

Defending champion Farmingdale State College was predicted to successfully defend their title with runner-up Mount Saint Mary College closely behind in second place as the Rams and Knights collected all 10 first-place votes.

The six-team 2018 Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship gets underway with first-round action on Saturday, Oct. 27, while the top two seeds receive byes to the Oct. 31 semifinal round.
