Women's Soccer Concludes Season at Sarah Lawrence

YONKERS, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, NY (Brooklyn) women's soccer team dropped their final match of the season, 5-0, against Sarah Lawrence College on Wednesday night from Fleming Field.

The Gryphons (12-3-2, 9-0-1) opened the scoring less in the seventh minute, doubling their lead in the 20th minute. The hosts held a 3-0 halftime lead following a goal at 32'. Katherine Barrios (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) took the Bears' (5-10-1, 3-8) lone shot in the period.

Sarah Lawrence hit St. Joseph's for two more goals in the second half, including their fourth goal of the match less than five minutes into the period. Mia Castaneda (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) and Sabrina Amadio (Douglaston, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) registered a shot each in the half.

Alexis Breen (Union Beach, N.J./Keyport) concluded her collegiate career with 10 saves in the match, coming up with five stops in either half.
