Natalie Turner-Wyatt Named Head Women’s Soccer Coach

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Director of Athletics and Recreation Margaret Alaimo has announced the appointment of Natalie Turner-Wyatt as head women's soccer coach at St. Joseph's University, NY (Brooklyn).

"We are thrilled to welcome Natalie to St Joseph's and our Bears family!" said Alaimo. "Her experiences as a player and a coach have prepared her for this next step and I am confident she will have an immediate, positive impact on the development of our soccer student-athletes on and off the field."

"I am very excited to be welcomed into the St Joseph's family and get to work with a group of talented student-athletes," remarked Turner-Wyatt, adding "this team is highly competitive and motivated, and we've already begun our preparation for fall '23. I can't wait to see where we go from here."

Turner-Wyatt has served as a head coach at Downtown United Soccer Club in New York City since April 2021. She also served as an assistant coordinator for the Soccer for All program; a two-person team that facilitated programs for equity and inclusion, accessibility research initiatives, and one-on-one athlete support.

Prior to joining DUSC, the Brooklyn native was an assistant coach for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges women's soccer team in the 2019 season. With an 11-5-4 mark overall, and a 6-4-2 record in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, Turner-Wyatt helped guide the Athenas to just their second NCAA Division III Sweet 16 in program history.

She joined the SCIAC institution after a successful four-year playing career at Williams College from 2015-18. Turner-Wyatt was a member of three Division III National Championship-winning sides, including the first in program history in the 2015 season. A mainstay in the Ephs' midfield, she was on the starting XI in the 2015 and 2017 title games. Additionally, she was a member of the All-NESCAC second team in 2017.

In May 2022, Turner-Wyatt played for Downtown United's women's team, which currently competes in the Women's Premier Soccer League, earning All-Metropolitan Conference Best XI honors in the process.

Residing in Brooklyn, Turner-Wyatt earned a bachelor's degree in history from Williams in 2019 and is pursuing a master's degree in social work from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work.
