Barrios’ Goal Enough for Women’s Soccer Against Clarks Summit

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's soccer team continued their non-conference slate with a 1-0 win over Clarks Summit University, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon from Aviator Field.

How it Happened

Katherine Barrios (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) made a forward run before shooting inside the box and beating the Clarks Summit (0-1) goalkeeper to give the navy and gray (2-1) the 1-0 lead inside 15 minutes.

The Bears' back line kept the Defenders off the board, conceding just two shots and one on target which was saved by Julia Marin (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) to preserve the shutout.

Barrios registered five shots with three on goal while Casey Hobbs' (Surprise, Ariz./Valley Vista) two shots were on frame.
