Women's Soccer Shut Out by St. Joseph’s (Long Island)

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's soccer team was defeated by St. Joseph's (Long Island), 4-0, on Saturday afternoon from a soaked Danzi Stadium on the campus of their sister school.

How it Happened

Emma Furey put the Golden Eagles on the board within five minutes of the opening whistle. The Bears managed to keep their deficit to one by the end of the half.

Five minutes into the second half, the Patchogue lead doubled. Eight minutes past the hour mark, Ana Lombardo scored a pair of goals to confirm their 4-0 scoreline.

Katherine Barrios (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) dispatched three of the Bears' four shots while Julia Marin (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) stopped eight Golden Eagle shots.
