Lady Bears Swimming Sweeps Double Dual Crossing .500 Mark

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The St. Joseph's College women's swimming team crossed the .500 mark and improved their record to 5-4, sweeping a double-dual against New Rochelle, 32-20, and Mount Saint Vincent, 32-21, on Tuesday evening at the CNR Wellness Center.

The Lady Bears took first place in five of the 10 events swam, led by junior Kristen McMaster (Brooklyn, NY/Fontbonne Hall) who grabbed first in the 50 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle. Olivia O'Hara (Brooklyn, NY/Fontbonne Hall) also secured an individual victory in the 100 yard backstroke. It was an overall team effort as St. Joseph's also swept both relay events and placed in each event.

Official times have not been released yet and will be posted when made available.

St. Joseph's looks to extend their three meet winning streak in the new year against HVWAC foe Sarah Lawrence College (6-3, 1-0 HVWAC). The Lady Bears will square off against the Gryphons in Bronxville, NY on Sunday, January 30 at 3 p.m.
