Trerotola Named Skyline Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Recognizing a week where she went 3-1 overall, St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) freshman Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) was named the Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 4th in an announcement made by the league office this afternoon.

Playing in the No. 2 singles position, Trerotola compiled an unblemished 2-0 mark to improve her singles record to a team-leading 4-2 and has been victorious in four of her last five matches.

The rookie secured two points in the Lady Bears' 6-3 triumph over The College of New Rochelle last Tuesday, posting a pair of shutouts, teaming with Tathiana Pierre (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Ford) at No. 1 doubles and at No. 2 singles.

The Skyline award is the first received by an SJC Brooklyn women's tennis player since joining the league this season.

Trerotola and the Lady Bears return to action on Friday, October 9th in a conference road match against Yeshiva University at 10 a.m. at the Queens College Tennis Courts.
