Seniors Tamara Bulatovic and Bala Huseinovic Named to 2008 AD3I All-Independent Women’s Volleyball

Senior middle blocker Tamara Bulatovic (Queens, NY / Grover Cleveland) and outside hitter Bala Huseinovic(Brooklyn, NY / New Utrect) were named to the 2008 Association of Division III Independents Women's Volleyball Team Honorable Mention.

Bulatovic, a solid all-around player, led the Lady Bears in Attack Percentage (.344), Kills (217) , Total Blocks (41) and Digs (162). She was also ranked amongst the leaders nationally in AD3I, finishing #2 in Attack Percentage, #3 in Service Aces per set (0.93) and #9 in Kills per set (2.93). The Lady Bears co-captain started in all 22 matches and played in every set. Bulatovic was named the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Tournament MVP and to the Old Westbury All-Tournament Team.

Huseinovic, a versatile player for Coach Kathleen O'Neill, also started every match and played in every set. She led the team in Service Aces (75), was second in Digs (157), and third in Kills (89). Huseinovic was ranked first in AD3I in Service Aces per set (1.01).

The All-Independent Women's Volleyball teams are selected by the women's volleyball coaches from the Association of Division III Independents member schools.
