Milazzo Earns HVIAC Men's Cross Country Player of the Week Honors

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Senior Paul Milazzo (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Connetquot) has been named the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) men's cross country Co-Player of the Week after finishing as the top Bear at the NJIT Highlander Challenge.

Milazzo clocked in at a season-best 29:26 to finish in 57th overall to pace the Bears to their highest finish all season taking 18th place in the team competition. The senior has now been the top finisher for St. Joseph's in both meets this season in his first year with the Bears after competing for sister campus St. Joseph's College (L.I.).

The weekly honor is the first earned by the 2012 Skyline Second-Team All-Conference team member in his career and is the first earned by a Bear this season.

The Bears and Lady Bears return to action on Saturday, October 12th as they take part in the College of Staten Island Invitational. The meet is set to start at 10:00 a.m.
