Cross Country Competes in DeSales Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — Freshman Christopher Tracy (Glendale, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) and sophomore Alexis Buchanan (Murrieta, Calif. / Murrieta) were the top harriers for the Bears as the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's and women's cross country teams competed at the DeSales University Invitational on Saturday.

Tracy led the squad with a time of 35:11 that placed him in 127th. SJC finished 16th of 17 as a team.

Buchanan ran a 6-kilometer personal best of 28:40 to finish in 70th place overall and leading the Bears to a 10th place team finish out of 12 teams. Senior Madison Erhardt (32:44, 98th place) and freshman Raquel Ramirez (33:27, 100th place) posted solid efforts in their first 6K race to crack the top 100.

The Bears are back in action next weekend at the SJC Long Island Invitational in Kings Park, N.Y. on Saturday, October 19 starting at noon.
