Ramirez and Reno Pace Cross Country at the Mount Saint Mary Invitational

MILTON, N.Y. — In what was a preview of the 2022 Skyline Conference Cross Country Championship course, Raquel Ramirez and Jonathan Reno were the top finishers for the St. Joseph's University, NY (Brooklyn) cross country team at the Mount Saint Mary Invitational on Sunday. 

Ramirez cracked the top 50 runners on the 6k course as her 36:00 time was good for 48th place. Lauren Van Der Kamp and Grace Kennedy crossed the finish line four seconds apart in 51st and 52nd place, recording times of 36:27 and 36:31 respectively. Kristen Donovan finished fourth on the Bears with at 39:02 while Danielle Bourne also finished under the 40-minute mark at 39:35. St. Joseph's posted an eighth-place finish, sandwiched between Skyline rivals Farmingdale State and Sarah Lawrence.

On the men's side, the Bears finished in 12th place as Reno led the team with a 72nd-place finish at 36:19. He was followed by Aaron De Leon's 82nd-place time of 37:40. Miguel Toribio was the third Bear to finish, coming in at 43:53 in 102nd place.
