Kennedy, Sirakis Top Cross Country at Skyline Championships

MILTON, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's University, NY (Brooklyn) cross country team made their return to the Hudson Valley Sports Dome on Sunday morning, taking part at the Skyline Conference Championships. Grace Kennedy was the first Bear to cross the finish of the women's 6k course, clocking in at 33:59. In the men's race, Evan Sirakis completed the men's 8k course with a time of 35:48.

Kennedy's 37th-place finish was followed by Raquel Ramirez's 39th-place finish at 34:23. Lauren Van Der Kamp (34:44) came in 42nd while Danielle Bourne placed 46th (35:29) as the Bears came in 10th place, ahead of Old Westbury and Sarah Lawrence.

Evan Sirakis finished in 70th with Aaron De Leon immediately behind him in 71st (36:00). Justin Jawad clocked in at 49:12 as the Bears turned in an 11th-place team finish.
